Stellaris was established to enable people from all walks of life to gain the skills to take control of their business lives. We do this by providing a raft of opportunities to develop the skills and knowledge of you and your staff through advice, training and support.

Our task is to put you back in charge! We believe in your ability to fly. We trust our clients to be successful, so we help them discover and use their abilities. At the same time we give them new skills based on the strength of our expertise to take them to the next level.

Our passionate belief is that everyone can succeed in business, which led to the programmes we have developed for ACC and government departments. We are world experts in using business and business education as rehabilitation tools.

The Stellaris team is made of a unique group of specialists with experience in working with people and helping them achieve their dreams. Stellaris is 100% New Zealand owned and operated.

Areas of Expertise


1. Governance
The Directors of Stellaris are experienced professional Directors.

Ron and Frances are active members of the Institute of Directors. Both have taken part in the Institute’s Professional Development Programmes and have been provisonally accredited by the Institute.

Frances Denz is a trustee of TECT. TECT is the Tauranga Consumers Energy Trust and has assets in excess of $800 million. She sits on the Investment Strategies and Objectives Committee.

Frances is a director of Tauranga City Aquatics Ltd (TCAL). TCAL is a Council Owned Company which owns all the city aquatic centres in Tauranga.

Ron Scott is also a Trustee of TECT, and is a member of the Audit Committee.

Ron is a member of the Bay of Plenty Committee of the Institute of Directors.

He is a member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ) and sits on its committee in this region.

Previously Ron was a member of the Council of the University of Waikato and also the University Academic Board.

Stellaris offers courses in Directorships in small enterprises.

Both Frances and Ron are available to act as independent directors for suitable businesses.

2. Knowledge of the Education Sector
Ron Scott began his teaching career in 1985. He graduated from Christchurch Teachers College before teaching in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.

In the UK he was responsible for establishing a unit standards based geography curriculum.

On his return form the UK in 1990 Ron began a career in the business sector with roles in sales and then management.

Since returning to management roles in the Education sector in 1998 Ron has

  • Managed learning establishments in a variety of sectors
  • Managed and run programmes for youth at risk through the YMCA
  • Gained accreditation for PTE status with NZQA for two organisations
  • Established new qualifications on the National Qualifications Framework
  • Established Quality Management Systems in several organisations
  • Contracted to NZQA for Moderation services

He taught assessment design on the Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) programme at Te Wananga o Aotearoa.

Ron holds:

  • Certificate in Teaching
  • Diploma in Teaching
  • Diploma in Business Studies endorsed in Training and Development
  • Bachelor of Arts (History and Geography double major)
  • Bachelor of Social sciences (Economics major)

3. Management
In addition to their management roles in Stellaris both Frances and Ron have held management roles in previous employment.

Ron has taught national qualifications in management  in organisations ranging from large companies such as Fonterra and Trustpower Ltd through to small one person businesses.

He has held management roles in a number of business both in and outside the education sector.
