Are you responsible for taking minutes?

Minutes can be a really serious business. Accurate minutes are vital but let’s face it – minute taking isn’t the most thrilling job. Even worse, it can be intimidating and scary when there’s a lot of pressure on you to get it right. And then there’s the human factor: Wafflers. Mumblers. Impromptu agenda items and wishy-washy chairpersons.

A practical and hands-on course, you’ll work through exercises and scenarios to reinforce your learning and prepare you for the demands of your next meeting.

Kelly Seymour

“Since joining the course, I have learned the difference between governance and management and the questions and thinking required to make a useful and effective board member. Ron and Francis continue to challenge my perceptions and help me become more aware of the decisions a board member needs to make to be effective and useful.

The knowledge I have already gained has helped me better support the boards I serve on”.

Roberta Budvietas
CEO and Managing Director, Budvietas.com Ltd

“The training was extremely well received and, according to the feedback from participants, one of the aspects of the training they found most valuable was the way the training ‘goes further than typical governance training might and acknowledges the importance of those strategic discussions and networking opportunities with other Mana whenua groups. Everyone was left wanting more”.

Strategy Development

Strategy is not the same as a strategic plan.

Organisations often confuse strategy with strategic planning. The two go hand in hand but in order to have a good strategic plan you must first set the strategy.

Strategic Planning

A strategic plan looks at all the things your business could do and narrows it down to the things it must do to flourish.

Encourage big-picture thinking and guide your organisation to a better future.
